At least, this is how it's been working for me, and from what I've gathered, this is how it should work. But it seems like there might be people for whom the cap doesn't work and they CAN boost essentially infinitely.

Either that, or they're big spenders with a really high cap they haven't reached yet, and they don't know it's there.

You still don't know how event works? No matter how many sodas they drink the boost capacity depends on your historic spending or money you spent on games this sale.

Quests and achievements only fill up to the capacity and not more. Your old games that have achievements have more points stored than you will ever be able to boost.

There are really two ways to get points. Do quest for points. This method sucks and is ineffective. You also get points for in-game achievements on any game you have.

And this is the way to go. Coins are the currency of this event. When you boost it uses up to of your points at a time. These points are consumed by the boost but now turn into coins that you can use to purchase rewards.

Go to the Pit Stop one which is listed right under the boost button to redeem coins. Note the discount option is kind of broke.

I used 30k points to get a 10 dollar discount and then that discount got deleted and my coins were gone but to use the discount option you need to have 15k coins unspent and when purchasing a game an option to use those coins will appear now.

This was not the case the first 3 days and is why I lost my discounts. Boosting also earns you attacks which can be used to slow another team down.

All that is said in many more words on the Grand Prix page , but here's the simple version, as I understand it: "Points" add directly to your team's distance traveled when spent in a "Boost," while "Nitro Boost Points" add to your team's speed, which earns it distance over time.

For every dollar you spend, your Boost Meter will be able to hold more points. For every quest you complete, you'll earn 10 to points, as well as some amount of Nitro.

Points you earn beyond your Boost Meter's capacity are wasted.
